Did You Know...

... that the Bad Boys fended off the HF Chicks by one single point?

1-point difference: Bad Boys and HF Chicks
posted Mar 20th, 2015 - 14 Czech 4-way teams attended the March indoor competition at the Hurricane Factory on Thursday night. It was the highest participation this year and matched the 14-team record participation of 2014.

It was the last test at the same time for the five teams who will soon travel to Bodyflight Bedford and represent the Czech Republic at the World Challenge 2015.

It was a tough test for the AAA Class teams, due to the block-heavy competition draw. None of the three teams were able to beat or get even close to their previous record averages. 21 of the 22 blocks were drawn, with the popular Block 19 (Ritz - Icepick) missing. Only 11 of the 16 random formations made it into the ten sequences.

The Bad Boys competed with the lineup that will make the trip to Bedford. The Sun Path Products NSL News reported earlier that alternate Jaroslav Smitka replaces Outside Center Jan Lukavec at the World Challenge.

This situation allowed the complete HF Chicks lineup to get dangerously close to the Bad Boys, closer than ever before. Only one single point separated both teams, which the Bad Boys won in the very last round. The HF Chicks were six points ahead of the Bad Boys after three rounds, who had to work very hard to eventually maintain the upper hand.

All three AAA Class teams will soon have the re-match at the World Challenge, where HF Chicks and CZ Ladies compete with other female lineups in the 4-way Women category, while the Bad Boys are on the largest leaderboard of the meet in the AAA/Open Class.

The AA Class teams did not have to deal with a more challenging draw, and all five teams improved or tied their previous record averages. PB Fire is the Czech team in the AA Class at the World Challenge and has the potential to get into medal contention.

The 22.5 average of Flying Circus in the Rookie Class confirmed that the Czech team is one of the top contenders in this category. Panik from Italy won the silver medals last year with a 22.2 average. It is unlikely that any other Rookie Class team could match the 33.0 average that the HF Chicks posted at the World Challenge 2014.

The Czech teams seem to be ready for the trip to Bedford, and the Sun Path Products NSL News will be there to witness the 4-way team invasion from the Czech Republic...
