... that Veloce QRF had a colorful lineup at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship?

French Veloce 8-way project team at Paraclete in 2013
posted Mar 10th, 2015 - The Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2015 included once again the only 8-way indoor competition in the world. 19 teams participated for a new record attendance, nine in the Open Class and ten in the Intermediate Class.

The Golden Knights, winner of last year's 8-way competition with the gold medal lineup of Prostejov, were split up in several other lineups. The US Army's 8-way team has trouble to put their current lineup together, and the Sun Path Products NSL News will follow up with a report of the Golden Knights 8-way situation.

Paraclete's 8-way lineup was only shortly behind the Golden Knights last year and had no problem walking away with the 1st place after a 27.0 average performance.

Core of the Veloce 8-way team: Veloce QRF at Aerokart
The most colorful 8-way team finished in 2nd place, Veloce QRF. Martial Ferre and Damien Sorlin, French 8-way world champions of 2010, have been visiting Paraclete for 8-way training camps and the indoor competition with French skydivers and competitors for several years.

They were back once again this year, and the project's signature team has become even more international, with team members from four different countries. Martial Ferre's and Damien Sorlin's Veloce QRF 4-way team is the core of the 8-way lineup. Veloce QRF, with Nicolas David and Mano Balageas, both former members of the French national 4-way and 8-way lineups, had attended the Aerokart Challenge 2015 earlier this year, where they finished with a 23.8 average in 4-way.

Uwe Soppa, an experienced 4-way competitor from Germany, Johan van Eeckhout and Benoit Minjauw from Belgium, and Thunder ISR's Outside Center Paul Hofstee completed the lineup and posted a 23.1 average in 8-way at Paraclete.

Veloce QRF's 8-way lineup at Paraclete
Paul Hofstee enjoyed the international lineup, as he is used to the Belgium/Dutch Thunder ISR mix: "It does not matter were you are born, what religion you like, whether you are male or female - let's have FUN together!!!"

He joined Martial Ferre's and Damien Sorlin's 8-way project first in 2013 and came back last year and now again. The 8-way experience prepares him well for the upcoming joint 8-way venture between NMP-PCH Hayabusa and Thunder ISR.

The Belgian 8-way lineup has hired Damien Sorlin as the team's coach whenever the team gets together for some 8-way training this year. Veloce QRF posted a 23.1 indoor average at Paraclete. This will probably be at least the starting point for the Thunder/Hayabusa combination with coach Damien Sorlin...
