posted Mar 6th, 2015 - The Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2015 has a small but very interesting field this year.

It's an "off-year" for the international teams, who have their main event next year, the Mondial 2016 with the World Championship of Formation Skydiving. However, it's an "on-year" for the US teams, as the USPA Nationals 2015 are the qualification event for next year's world meet.

The best US teams just completed their first 2015 test at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2015, and it is now time for the first outdoor competition. The weather has not cooperated so far, and the teams are waiting for their first call to the Twin Otter in DeLand.

Four other AAA Class teams have joined the four US top teams, and DeLand Flashpoint uses the opportunity for the team's first competition experience in the AA Class. In addition, VFS 4-way team SDC Core visits DeLand to take advantage of the expert judging by Jim Rees, Chris Talbert and Dirk Venter, who is also running the InTime judging program for the event. Unfortunately, judge Eric Heinsheimer got stuck in Washington where all flight departures were canceled due to a snow storm.

Both national teams from the United Arab Emirates, Dubai Asaar Gold (4-way Open) and Dubai Asaar Ladies (4-way Women) also made their way from Raeford to DeLand to complete the Paraclete doube header. Black Cat's new lineup with two former 8-way world champions (Evgeny Stashchenko, Vassili Korotkov), Valentin Ilin and Valeriy Gredasov impressed with a 20.5 average at the 5th Dubai International Parachuting Championship and are ready to score even higher.

Teiwaz completes the AAA Class field with a new lineup.

The Sun Path Products NSL News used the opportunity of the weather hold on Friday morning to meet with Pete Allum and his Teiwaz team mates. It's a new colorful lineup with three members who speak German and showed that during the NSL Talk, including Pete Allum, who is the player coach.

CYPRES sponsored his participation as the event coach for all teams, as the German AAD manufacturer and Pete Allum have been connected since Airtec founder Helmut Cloth invented the device and kept it accident-free for 25 years.

Pete Allum provided an update of his coaching and team situation in Empuriabrava, Spain, where he has lived for several years. He also had good and bad XL news at the same time. There will be no XL lineup at the World Challenge 2015, however, XL will be back...
