posted Mar 3rd, 2015 - The first direct competition between the currently four best 4-way teams in the USA (Arizona Airspeed - SDC Rhythm XP - Golden Knights - Carolina Turbo XP) was much anticipated at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2015.

The Arizona Airspeed story ended with a neutral result, compared to the 2014 performance at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship. Airspeed finished with a 28.7 average at both events.

Airspeed allowed SDC Rhythm XP once again to get a little bit closer, in fact by exactly one average-point. This will be the topic for a later news story. The most improved Top 4 team from Paraclete Indoor 2014 to 2015 is the Golden Knights (24.1 - 25.4) 4-way Women team.

Carolina Turbo XP had outscored the US Army's female 4-way team a year ago by six points. The Golden Knights turned the outcome at the USPA Nationals 2014 and won by one single point. The distance has grown significantly (25.4 - 23.2) by now.

Those numbers show clearly that the Golden Knights are on track to catch up with the French Girls, which is their main goal. The Sun Path Products NSL News met with the complete Golden Knights lineup in the Paraclete flying chamber after the meet and discussed the new situation.

The team and coach Solly Williams are happy with the progression, and they are eager to meet the French world champions at a competition. Unfortunately, there seems to be a major obstacle.

The Golden Knights said that they would like to attend the first FAI/IPC indoor world championship at the Hurricane Factory this year in October. However, it will be impossible for any US team to participate, as the indoor world meet is scheduled right in front of the USPA Nationals 2015.

This year's national championships are the qualifier for the US teams to compete at the World Meet 2016 in the USA. The Golden Knights have to defend their bronze medals in the Open Class and compete to be eligible as the US national team in 4-way Women in 2016.

The Golden Knights will be able to compete at the World Cup 2015 in Teuge, Netherlands, in September, where they hope to meet the French Girls next time. Now they are hoping that the FAI/IPC will re-schedule the indoor world meet to allow the US teams to compete, as well.
