posted Nov 16th, 2014 - The VFS 4-way part of the first FAI Indoor World Cup was almost as small as the competition in 4-way Women, where only Aerokart Deep Blue and HF Chicks had signed up for the competition. Three teams competed in the newest 4-way Formation Skydiving category at iFLY Austin, and the situation was very similar to 4-way Women.

Both events had one world class team that did not have any serious competition (Aerokart Deep Blue - SDC Standard XP), and the second team in the respective event was far behind. Fly Definition from Poland was the second team in VFS 4-way and was in a slightly better situation than the HF Chicks.

The VFS 4-way competition had a third team on the leaderboard, and AVIX from Mexico offered at least some opposition to the Polish team, while the HF Chicks had to look at the Open Class leaderboard and compare their own numbers with the Bad Boys and Monaco Vitalsea.

The performance of the team from Poland still deserves special attention. It is not the first time that the Sun Path Products NSL News detected Fly Definition on a leaderboard.

The same team competed at the World Cup 2013 in Banja Luka, and the story on 15 August 2013, coming from the live coverage of the event, presented Fly Definition for the first time with coach Jason Russell, Dubai Nexus member by then.

Fly Definition posted a 5.9 average at the world cup last year and followed up with a 7.9 average in Dubai a few months later. Dariusz Filipowski, Artur Karwowski, Sebastian Matejek, Piotr Bereda and videographer Agnieszka Roman made plans for the 2014 season and now posted their first scores.

Fly Definition's 17.4 average at the first FAI indoor world cup is a world ahead of the 2013 results, and there are reasons for the significant progression. Poland has its own wind tunnel now, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported on 6 November 2014, and Fly Definition has taken advantage of the situation.

The 17.4 average is an indoor result, which puts it in perspective just as much as in traditional 4-way, as the Sun Path Products NSL News explained on 21 September 2014. However, it still is a very competitive average and lifts Fly Definition to a higher level in the VFS 4-way world.

The Polish Indoor Open 2014 also includes a VFS-way competition, and Fly Definition will now have to fend off their local challengers, three Flyspot instructors (Dane Baird, Mattiss Leipens, Girts Kiinasts) with Jared Harris in the lineup. The competition is open for guest teams in all categories.
