Did You Know...

... that AtomiX finished 13.8 three times within four weeks?

13.8 at the German Nationals 2014
posted Oct 15th, 2014 - The Sun Path Products NSL News has not yet researched well enough whether any 4-way team has ever posted exactly the same meet average three consecutive times during the same competition season. However, it is most likely unique that a team did exactly that within one month.

It is unusual enough that a team attends three meets in such a short time period. It was the German 4-way team AtomiX who competed first at the German Nationals 2014, followed up at the Nord Cup 2014, and finished the 2014 competition season at the ESL Championship 2014.

AtomiX posted a 13.8 average at each of the three meets and brought a gold medal and two silver medals back to their team home in Itzehoe, Germany.

13.8 at the Nord Cup B 2014
AtomiX launched the 2014 competition season with a 12.3 average with Enrico Kaufman in Peter Ingenhaag's tail slot, while Janina Jungen took her B-slot (center inside) to accommodate the substitution.

Peter Ingenhaag came back in June, and the complete lineup had one long weekend and a full week of training before the German Nationals. They completed approx. 70 training jumps together and were very excited about the upcoming competition. Result was the 2nd place in the second AtomiX year with the first 13.8 average in September.

The weather on the following Nord Cup weekend was the same as at the national championships, and the teams completed five more rounds at a different competition. The AtomiX average was the same - 13.8 after five rounds, and the Nord Cup trophy remained in AtomiX possession.

13.8 at the ESL Championship 2014
AtomiX had better luck with the weather by leaving Germany for the ESL Championship 2014 in Teuge, Netherlands. This time, all teams completed eight rounds, and AtomiX finished once again with a 13.8 average for a second set of silver medals. It was still September...

Two of the AtomiX members have one more event on the 2014 agenda. Andrea Kleinschmidt and Peter Ingenhaag will travel to Arizona and participate in a new German big-way record attempt (224-way) in Eloy. Team training will resume in November with indoor camps. AtomiX is making plans for approx. 200 training jumps and 8 - 10 tunnel hours next year.

The meet schedule will include the annual Nord Cup meets in Germany and the national championships. The World Cup is also on the list, as well as the ESL Championship 2015. AtomiX is planning to continue for five years and minimize the distance to the two German top teams, Paratec-Saar and Airbus.
