Did You Know...

... that the Indoor Cloud League events are booming at iFLY Dallas?

NSL Tunnel Kicker activities at iFLY Dallas
posted Jun 8th, 2014 - The Texas group at iFLY Dallas has been the latest addition to the Indoor Cloud League. The May competition was the third time that Amanda Lampton collected ICL points for iFLY Dallas. The Sun Path Products NSL News had introduced the Dallas Khaos member with the story on 28 March 2014.

Her NSL Tunnel Kicker program at iFLY Dallas has been very successful, as new participants have been joining her group month by month. She said that the events are still gaining momentum generating new local skydivers and tunnel flyers.

She had 23 participants in May, and the June event filled up within a day after posting the details. There is even a substantial standby list, which is a good problem to have, Amanda Lampton said.

Scott Latinis with his new 2014 lineup
Amanda Lampton put the 23 participants together in eight different lineups for the May sequences. Most of her player coaches (Amanda Lampton, Mike Hotchkiss, Scott Levy, Lucas King, Charles Wilkin) had two lineups to work and fly with last month.

Three of the player coaches (Amanda Lampton, Mike Hotchkiss, Lucas King) then joined forces with Scott Latinis who was in town by coincidence at the time of the iFLY Dallas Tunnel Kicker. He had a training weekend planned with his team shortly after the Indoor Cloud League night. The coaches posted another 18-pointer for the AAA Class sequence that matched the AAA Class scores from iFLY Orlando and iFLY SF Bay.

Amanda Lampton said that Scott Latinis is planning to help launching a new ICL group as soon as iFLY Houston is ready to host events.

USPA Intermediate Class gold last year: Dallas Khaos Khobalt
ICL coaches Lucas King and Scott Levy are members of Scott Latinis' new team and have been competing in the AAA Class for a couple of years.

Charles Wilkin and Mike Hotchkiss have been training and competing at the AA/Intermediate Class level in the past years. They won the USPA Nationals 2013 with Dallas Khaos Khobalt. They are now collecting their first experiences with the AAA Class dive pool, and the slot switching sequence for May was a serious test.

The group of participants also included Katherine Diaz who used the indoor event for a comeback, as many other competitors have done. She used to train in 4way and 8way but has not jumped in years. Her friend Emily Lookadoo was just getting back into the indoor and outdoor air after her last child started walking, and she convinced Katherine Diaz to try the NSL Tunnel Kicker. They both ended up in the Rookie AAA Class lineup with coach Scott Levy and posted the best score for iFLY Dallas in this category.
