Did You Know...

... that Monaco Vitalsea has turned the tables with the French Air Force team after four rounds?

Monaco Vitalsea's 8way lineup in Dubai 2013
posted Jun 7th, 2014 - The first scores of the new meet weekend have arrived from France where the first Coupe de France competition takes place in Montbeliard.

The French teams compete in two different categories, and there is also an 8way competition with three participating teams. As usual, the French national teams are not competing at the Coupe de France events, with a few exceptions as guest teams once in a while.

The French national lineups for this year's world meet in the Czech Republic (Venturi in 8way, Volt'R in 4way Open, Aerodyne French Girls in 4way Women) are in training at this point in time and are off on the weekends to get some rest.

There is one exception though. One of the two new Volt'R members, Damien Gouriou, is in the lineup of the French Air Force team from Nice. He is also competing in Monaco Vitalsea's 8way lineup. The French teams at the Coupe de France retain their eligibility with only one member of the French national teams in the lineup.

French national coach Jeremie Rollett reported that his teams are shaping up well for the world meet. He had to deal with a few injuries that interrupted the training of Venturi and Volt'R. However, all team members are back in good health and ready for the final training stretch before the trip to the Czech Republic.

4way videographer Olivier Henaff needed a little longer break for his recovery and joins the team again in July.

3-time winner last year: Armee de l'Air
The first Coupe de France competition features once again the battle between the Air Force team from Nice and Monaco Vitalsea's 4way lineup. The duel between the two teams has been going on for many years now, and this weekend's one is not the first in 2014.

Both teams competed at the Aerokart Indoor Championship 2014, and Monaco Vitalsea won the indoor competition over Armee De L'Air Nice. This battle began years ago only as an outdoor competition in France, and the Monaco team had the advantage in the early years.

The Air Force team turned the tables in 2013 and won all duels last year. Now Monaco is back on the top and up by four points after four rounds. It seems as if they might be able to take back their top spot at the beginning of the 2014 outdoor season. The competition continues on Sunday.
