The active part of the Indoor Cloud League
April competition is over, while the aftermath with processing the videos and judging is still in the works for some of the groups. The leaderboard will still grow in the following days.
The Florida Skydiving League group gathered at the beginning of the week for the second time in April at iFLY Orlando and tried to improve the earlier scores that were posted after the April 10 meeting.
It was a very successful effort, as Florida added 24 points to the total for April. The lineups in four of the six categories were able to outscore the Florida teams who posted the first scores on April 10. Only the scores for the AAA Class sequence (P,B,16,18) and the A Class sequence (P,B,6) survived the challenges of new lineups on Monday.

New ICL competitor Michael Patterson with his Rookie A Class lineup
University of Florida student Cindy Gicala had started with 1-on-1 sessions on April 10 and ended up scoring a 13-pointer later that night. She came back for her second FSL Tunnel Kicker and had a new Indoor Cloud League participant in her lineup on Monday, Michael Patterson. Coaches Robert Chromy and Gilles Dutrisac guided the new Rookie A Class lineup to a 19-pointer and six additional ICL points for iFLY Orlando.
Cindy Gicala's fellow student at the Florida Gators' home, Cathy Luo, did the same in the Rookie AA Class where she had posted 17 points earlier this month. Player coach Hal Spence had Adam Money and Don Hickey next to Cathy Luo for the Rookie AA Class sequence and beat the earlier score by three points. Several point deductions kept this lineup from scoring significantly higher and move to the very top of the ICL leaderboard for April.
The most significant improvement for Florida came in the Rookie AAA Class, where two Zeus members (Amer Kassas, James Hopkins) took on their own 14-pointer. Zunday's Center Outside Keith Murray was in the tail slot this time, while Zeus' Center Inside, Amer Kassas, took the point position on Monday. Robert Chromy guided this lineup to a 22-pointer and eight additional points for Florida.
Lindsay Basher (2nd from left) with her A Class lineup
Last not least, Florida's AA Class lineup outscored the previous score, as well. James Hall and Kurt Gaebel were with Rebecca Stares and Keith Murray in the AA Class lineup on April 10. They competed with Sebastian Jimenez and Gilles Dutrisac this time and added seven points with the 20-pointer.
Michael Patterson was not the only new FSL Tunnel Kicker last Monday. Lindsey Basher also attended her first Indoor Cloud League event at iFLY Orlando. However, she is not new to 4way at all. She had competed in the AA Class for Prophecy earlier this year at the SkyVenture New Hampshire Indoor Fest and has moved to Florida. She took on the A Class sequence (P,B,6) together with Leigh Estabrook, Jon Agar and Keith Murray. This lineup's 17-pointer did not make it to the ICL leaderboard, where Robert Chromy, Hal Spence, Steve Hubbard and Jim Prochaska had already posted a 19-pointer.
Florida's total of 115 points was only three points behind the team machine from the Czech Republic who have not even posted a score for the Rookie A Class. The story from the Skydive Arena will follow soon.
