The second update from the World Cup 2013
is showing the preliminary leaderboard in the female 4way category. It features the largest number of teams at a World Cup in the history of this specific event.
In fact, only the Mondial Dubai 2012 and the World Meet 2006 in Germany had more teams participating in this category.
The United Kingdom contributes heavily to the 10-team field in 4way Women. It is no news that female 4way competitors are a big part of the 4way community in the United Kingdom. The teams at the World Cup 2013 in Banja Luka provide even more evidence. Four of the ten teams in 4way Women are from the UK, while only three British teams compete in the open class. The open class lineups include three additional female UK competitors. All UK scores in Banja Luka together will be provide a reliable preview of the upcoming national championships in Hibaldstow.
Ultra Red Band from Russia
Russia has a new female lineup, as well. The Ultra Red Band has Zhanna Kazakova in the lineup who has been on other previous female lineups for Russia at international events.
The Russian delegation is still missing team members who had problems making it into the former neighbor country of the "Eastern Block". The complete Fly Station lineup was denied entry at the border and had to fly back to Moscow. They are now working on a new attempt to make it to the event site.
The problems at the border could have an impact on the 8way competition, as well. Aleksandr Tyichinskiy and Sergey Yalpaev are also Barkli 8way members, bronze medalists of the Mondial Dubai 2013. Barkli is the top contender in Banja Luka behind the French national 8way team. Fly Station has one day to fix the situation.
