News Article Did you know that last weekend's AA Class leaderboard features international top competition?
posted: Jul 19th, 2017 Seattle Swift responded quickly last weekend and sent the next strong message to potential AAA/Advanced Class medal contenders at the USPA Nationals this year. The 13.0 average is on the leaderboard, and only a 7-pointer in Round 4 did not allow the NWSL Swift (Seattle) to score higher than MWSL Swift (CSC) a week earlier. The AA Class and Rookie Class teams outscored AAA and A last weekend, and the Sun Path Products NSL News will go back later to the other two leaderboards. The weather situation at the different meet locations allowed the completion between only two rounds at Skydive... (more)
News Article Did you know that five teams competed at the 2017 season opener of the Southern Skydiving League?
posted: May 2nd, 2017 The long winter break for outdoor competition did not slow down the regular flow of 4-way meet information. Indoor events have kept the Sun Path Products NSL News busy enough. The first outdoor leaderboard this year was generated at the Shamrock Showdown in March, and the first meets of the NSL Network leagues will be next. In fact, the Southern Skydiving League launched its 2017 season last weekend with five teams at a new location, Skydive Spaceland-Atlanta in Georgia. New SSL Director Caitlin Rice said that it was the first time that the SSL has opened the league region into Georgia. She... (more)
News Article Did you know that Scottish Kiss and Simba posted 2016 top averages last weekend in DeLand?
posted: May 25th, 2016 Last weekend was supposed to bring 4-way teams from four different states in the U.S.A. together on the same leaderboard. However, the weather cooperated only in Central Florida (Florida Skydiving League) and on the western end of the Florida Panhandle (Southern Skydiving League). The Carolina Skydiving League and the Virginia Parachute Council had scheduled meets for the same weekend, as well, which had to be canceled due to bad weather. The forecast was once again not much better for Florida, and the teams were positively surprised when the six meet rounds were quite easily completed on... (more)
News Article Did you know that seven Rookie Class teams finished off the Southern Skydiving League 2015 season?
posted: Aug 4th, 2015 It was not too long ago that the Sun Path Products NSL News celebrated a great weekend of the Rookie Class teams, as the story on July 24th explained. It was a combination of teams from the Czech Republic, United Kingdom and Midwest Skydiving League who created a leaderboard with 15 teams. The surge of new 4-way teams and competitors was confirmed again last weekend when the next 15 different Rookie Class teams competed, this time most of them in the USA. The Southern Skydiving League alone added seven teams to the leaderboard at Skydive Alabama. The other eight Rookie Class teams competed in... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Fire Breathing Rubber Duckies are on top of the current Rookie Class rankings?
posted: Jul 15th, 2015 The teams of the Southern Skydiving League had the complete overall leaderboard for themselves last weekend, before a probably very large one will follow up in three days. However, the competition at the Chattanooga Skydiving Company featured a very exciting battle for the 1st place in the AA Class between Platinum and Southern Mix. Both teams had also competed at the SSL June meet, where Platinum had finished with exactly the same meet average and exactly the same lineup, but without much opposition. Last weekend, Platinum had to work very hard to carry a 1-point advantage over the finish... (more)
News Article Did you know that two Southern Skydiving League teams are still on the front page Top 3?
posted: May 25th, 2015 The coverage of last weekend's events begins with the Southern Skydiving League. SSL Director Brandy Verhalen invited 4-way teams and competitors in her region to visit Gold Coast Skydivers, and five teams attended the 2015 season opener. Three teams competed in the AA Class, where SSL winner Platinum kept up with the British teams in the same category on the overall leaderboard. Three Platinum members came back from last year's 4-way season (Don Hurd, Eric Mixon, Bill) with a new Point (Nicole Cronin) and David Price on camera. Platinum trains at Skydive Alabama where the last meet... (more)
