Did you know that Russia sends a strong delegation to the World Cup in Teuge?
posted: Jul 13th, 2015 The Formation Skydiving delegation from Russia in the three traditional categories (4-way Open, 4-way Women, 8-way Open) at the FAI World Cups consisted of five teams in 2009 and 2011, even though there were different combinations.
Four Russian teams competed in 4-way Open at the World Cup 2009 in Prostejov, together with one 8-way team, while there was no Russian participation in 4-way Women. Two years later in Germany, Russia had at least one team in each of the three categories (2-1-2). Then the Russian delegation became even larger in Banja Luka in 2013 (3-1-3).
This year's Russian delegation... (more)
Did you know that Arizona X-Force has joined the VFS 4-way pursuit of 2015 spots on the USPA podium?
posted: May 31st, 2015 The last Sun Path Products NSL News update of events in the VFS 4-way world came with the story on March 8th, which was posted right after the conclusion of the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2015.
The event included a category for VFS 4-way, as SDC Core was looking for an opportunity to compete and be judged under pressure. There was no direct competition for the former Dubai Nexus members Jason Russell and Stephanie Strange, now with Dusty Hanks, Ryan Risberg... (more)
Did you know that former Airspeed member Neal Houston visited the place of the original event?
posted: Mar 8th, 2015 The Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2015 came to a great end after a false start.
Two days of bad weather had kept the teams on the ground on Friday and Saturday. Sunday was a completely different story when clear skies and perfect conditions welcomed the teams, who were boarding the Twin Otter at 7:30 AM.
Six rounds were completed at 1 PM, and there would have been enough time to add the four missing rounds. However, the travel schedule of the visiting teams was based on the posted event schedule, which included... (more)
Did you know that Evolution wins with new team record averages in Dubai?
posted: Dec 4th, 2014 The 5th Dubai International Parachuting Championship will be concluded on Thursday in all Formation Skydiving events. In fact, the eight rounds in 4-way VFS were completed on Wednesday, and Evolution won and takes home the first $15,000 of cash.
There was obviously not much competition in 4-way VFS, however, Evolution still did well without any performance pressure. The 19.1 average in Dubai is the new team record and more than a point higher compared to this year's world meet where the Evolution VFS lineup won the... (more)
Did you know that Fly Definition moved up a level in VFS 4-way?
posted: Nov 16th, 2014 The VFS 4-way part of the first FAI Indoor World Cup was almost as small as the competition in 4-way Women, where only Aerokart Deep Blue and HF Chicks had signed up for the competition. Three teams competed in the newest 4-way Formation Skydiving category at iFLY Austin, and the situation was very similar to 4-way Women.
Both events had one world class team that did not have any serious competition (Aerokart Deep Blue - SDC Standard XP), and the second team in the respective event was far behind. Fly Definition from Poland was the second team in VFS 4-way and was in a slightly better situation... (more)
Did you know that Julien Guiho is the best swooping Formation Skydiving competitor this year?
posted: Nov 13th, 2014 The 5th FAI World Canopy Piloting Championships 2014 were recently held at Skydive City in Zephyrhills, Florida. The Sun Path Products NSL News covers almost exclusively Formation Skydiving competition and events, and the swooping meet does not really fit into the SKYLEAGUE.COM territory.
However, it would not be the first time at all that Canopy Piloting and Formation Skydiving competition have something in common, and the connection comes with the athletes. Former 4-way world champions Shannon Pilcher, Ian Bobo and Jonathan Tagle (DeLand Fire - 2006) made the news here and there when they... (more)
